Poet Greene kicks off Writers Among Us
NARROWSBURG, NY In February and March, the Delaware Valley Arts Alliance will host the winter literary series Writers Among Us, featuring local authors reading from their works. The sessions will take place on Sundays at 2:00 p.m. in the Krause Recital Hall on the second floor of the Arts Center at 37 Main Street. The series is curated by Janet Noble, a playwright living in New York City and Narrowsburg, and a reception follows each reading.
On the inaugural session, scheduled for Sunday, February 24, Mary Greene of Beaver Brook will read new poems, as well as poems from her book A Painting With You Running Through It. She will be joined by two members of the Upper Delaware Writers Collective to read from the newly published collection of poems called PoeTree.
Subsequent sessions will feature local musician and award-winning journalist John Marchese and writer and editor Bruce Stutz.
This literary series is made possible in part with public funds from the New York State Council on the Arts, a State agency. The suggested donation is $3.
