Ice sculptures return to Honesdale
HONESDALE, PA The Greater Honesdale Partnership is celebrating Presidents Day weekend with an ice sculpture festival in Honesdale on Saturday, February 16.
Nine specially designed ice sculptures, each one designed with a specific sponsoring business in mind, will adorn Honesdales Main Street area.There will be a live ice-carving demonstration from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in front of Wallflower (513 Main Street), featuring an artist from Ice Works. The demonstration is co-sponsored by Brankos Le Patisserie du Jour, Micks Barber Shop, Prudential Financial, Quality Printing & Copying, Wallflower and Sonnys Bar & Grill.
Other ice sculptures will be on display in front of Stephens Pharmacy-NE Med Equipment (1101 Main Street), First National Community Bank (1001 Main Street), The Honesdale National Bank (733 Main Street), The Honesdale National Bank Corporate Center (724 Main Street), Wayne Bank (717 Main Street) and Van Gorders Furniture (110 6th Street). Business owners on the 800 block of Main Street have gotten together to offer two sculptures which will be placed in front of Elegante Restaurant & Pizzeria (851 Main Street) and Arts for Babies & Beyond (823 Main Street).
