February festivities at Roscoe library

ROSCOE, NY — The Roscoe Free Library has a variety of events and services planned for February.

There will be a showing of a Harry Potter movie, based on a book by J.K. Rowling, on Friday, February 15 at 7:00 p.m. Call for further details.

Regular events include meetings of the book club on the third Tuesday of every month, with the subject of this month’s meeting, on February 19, being “A Sand County Almanac,” by Aldo Leopold. There is a game night every Wednesday evening at 6:30 p.m., with chess, scrabble and checkers, open to all ages. Chess tutoring is available to those who are interested. Free federal and New York State tax forms will be available throughout the month.

The library is currently looking for volunteers. However, it is not currently accepting donations, as it already has too many books to go through. It requests that donations be held until summer.
