WEST TRENTON, NJIs there enough water to serve both thirsty city dwellers and cold-water-loving trout? Should the reservoirs be enlarged so they can serve all interested parties?
These are just a couple of questions that remain as the debate about the Flexible Flow Management Plan (FFMP), which will determine the flows in the Upper Delaware River, continues.

Gas drilling debate continues in Wayne
Role and capacity of DEP is questioned

DAMASCUS, PASome people in Wayne County are excited. Others are alarmed.
At issue is the fact that a number of landowners have signed leases to allow gas companies to look for gas on their property. Its a chance for them to get some much needed income at a time when the nations slow economy is causing trouble, especially for farmers.
On the other side of the issue are residents who are alarmed that drilling will permanently harm the environment.

New jail may be downsized

MONTICELLO, NYThe good news is that the countys credit rating looks pretty good, right now. The bad news is when you add $100 million in new debt, the countys credit starts to look a bit risky and that means it will cost a lot more for the county to borrow money.
That was the essence of the message from consultant Stephen Lynch of R.S. Lynch & Company in a presentation to Sullivan County lawmakers on January 17.
