YMCA to hold winter festival

MONTICELLO, NY — The YMCA of Monticello will be kick off efforts to build strong kids, strong families and strong communities with its first annual Family Winter Festival on Saturday, January 26 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Kenneth L. Rutherford Elementary School. The festival will include games, arts and crafts and refreshments, each at a cost of 25 cents to $1. There will also be a 50/50 raffle. All proceeds will go back to the Strong Kids Campaign, which supplies scholarships and financial assistance to YMCA Sullivan County families.

The YMCA of Monticello is located inside the Monticello High School adjacent to the gymnasium. The hours of operation are Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 4:30 to 9:00 p.m., Wednesday and Friday from 2:30 to 9:00 p.m. (paid members only), and Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Anyone can join for as little as $22 monthly ($20 for seniors, $35 for an entire family) with a year-long membership.
