Cultural programming grants awarded
NARROWSBURG, NY New York State Assemblywoman Aileen Gunther will present awards totaling $19,900 to 14 Sullivan County non-profit cultural organizations at a reception to be held on February 2 at the Arts Center at 37 Main Street, Narrowsburg, NY.
The grants, for cultural programming throughout the county during 2008, will go to Callicoon Center Band of Callicoon Center for summer band concerts; Catskill Fly Fishing Center & Museum of Livingston Manor, for the workshop component of an evolving exhibit; Delaware Youth Center of Callicoon, for multi-discipline youth workshops; Ethelbert B. Crawford Library of Monticello, for 16 free performances for children; Friends of Sunshine Hall of Eldred, for a winter cultural program; Icehouse Arts of Narrowsburg, for two youth video workshops; Ill Winds Chamber Ensemble of Narrowsburg, for a Sullivan County Composers Festival concert; Liberty Free Theatre of Liberty, for production costs of Kinfolks and Mountain Music; Roscoe Free Library of Roscoe, for an intergenerational fine arts workshops; Sullivan County Community Chorus of Monticello, for choral concerts; the Town of Fallsburg (as a conduit for St. Andrews Mission) for artists fees for two chamber music concerts; Town of Lumberland Cultural Series for three concerts; Triad Dance Ensemble of Yulan, for development of a new series of dances; and Tusten Historical Society of Narrowsburg for a colonial folk art weekend series.
