Community chorus prepares for spring concert

MONTICELLO, NY — The Sullivan County Community Chorus, with conductor David Trombley and chorus accompanist Lucille Horton, will resume rehearsals Wednesday, February 6 at 7:00 p.m. in preparation for its 2008 spring concert to be performed in early May. The rehearsals will take place at the First Church of Monticello Presbyterian on Jones Street.

Trombley will prepare the chorus to sing famous choruses from a variety of familiar operas for the first half of the concert and music from Broadway productions for the second half. Rehearsals are open to interested singers, and there are no auditions. Singers interested in joining the group must regularly attend rehearsals starting no later than Wednesday, February 27.

Dues are $20, with a one-time $10 music deposit for those new to the chorus.
