Ice fishing derby for youth

YULAN, NY — The Beaver Brook Rod and Gun Club will hold its annual Youth Ice Fishing Derby Day on Saturday, February 2, at the club’s Lake Labarr, located near the intersection of Lackawaxen Road and the Cochecton Turnpike. A make-up date of February 23 has been set aside in case ice conditions do not permit fishing on February 2.

Youth up to age 16 will be permitted to enter the ice fishing derby. The club will provide lunch and bait for the kids and there is no fee to enter. Prizes will be awarded. The Beaver Brook Rod and Gun Club is dedicated to helping pass along the pursuit of our outdoor heritage to future generations, and teaching conservation and wise use of our natural resources. This event is just one of the club’s annual youth events.
