Super Bowl: a time to pig out and help the community, too

REGION — Several local organizations will hold Super Bowl munchie fundraisers over the next couple of weeks.

The weekend before the big day, the Callicoon Kiwanis will offer Super Bowl take-out chili from 12:00 noon to 5:00 p.m. on Friday, January 25 and from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon on Saturday, January 26 at the Bank of America in Callicoon, NY. The cost will be $4 for a pint and $6 for a quart.

On Super Bowl Sunday itself, February 3, The Narrowsburg American Youth Soccer Organization (AYSO) will hold its Super Bowl Sunday fundraiser, offering Old-fashioned Harold Sims Pizza (which contains peanut oil) at two pick-up locations from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m.: the Cochecton Center Community Center in Cochecton Center, NY; and the Lake Shore Café in Lake Huntington, NY.

Pizzas will cost $10 each. Tickets will be pre-sold from now until Friday, February 1. All proceeds will go to the Narrowsburg AYSO Fund.
