Democratic club to celebrate

King’s birthday

DINGMANS FERRY, PA — In observance of Martin Luther King’s birthday, the Delaware Township Democratic Club will sponsor its first annual Martin Luther King Celebratory Tea on Sunday, January 20, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Delaware Township Municipal building, located at 116 Wilson Hill Road. Admission is free.

As part of the event’s festivities, an African American Orator’s competition and African Americans’ Firsts poster contest will be co-sponsored by the Vivian Louise Anderson Glenn Foundation, the Junior Historian Club of the Delaware Valley High School and the Delaware Township Democratic Club. Cash prizes will be awarded in both contests.
