Celebrate winter with Community Unity

Winter carnival to feature snow sports, contests and torchlight parade

MONTICELLO, NY — Community Unity will hold its annual Winter Carnival and X-Games from 12:00 noon to 6:00 p.m. on January 12 at the Holiday Mountain Ski and Fun Park. There will be skiing, snowboarding, tubing, ice skating, a snowman building contest, ski and snow board obstacle courses, racing and jump competitions, a tug of war competition, earth ball and more. The festivities will be topped off at dusk with a torchlight parade down the mountain and a fireworks show.

The day of family fun also includes a pasta meal with garlic bread and salad provided by Mr. Willy’s restaurant.

Introductory group skiing lessons will be offered for $13 per person.

Admission costs $250 per person and includes your choice of either a lift pass, two hours of tubing or two hours of ice skating, the pasta meal and entry into all competitions. Children five and under are admitted free. Ski rentals cost $13 for the event.

Community Unity is a coalition of four established organizations here in Sullivan County working to break the cycles of abuse which harm our children and impair the quality of life in our county.
