Celebrity fitness challenge kicks off 2008

MONTICELLO, NY — The YMCA of Monticello, located inside the Monticello High School adjacent to the gymnasium, will host a celebrity fitness challenge called “Wellness and Me!” during the month of January.

The goals for this event are to create long-term positive change, feel better, eat more healthily and perform better in daily activities. The following celebrities will create simple plans to reach those goals: Paul Ciliberto, Aileen Gunther, Michelle Klugman, Doug Solomon, Ric Schwartz and Connie Cordner.

Contestants must participate in aerobic activity/anaerobic activity weekly. Each contestant will be designated one personal trainer that will be assigned by a lotto drawing. Contestants will choose their own personal goals, and the trainer and contestant will meet weekly to track their progress. Each contestant that reaches his or her own personal goal (within one month) will receive one free month to the YMCA Wellness Center.
