NACL Salon Session and holiday party

HIGHLAND LAKE, NY – NACL will hold another in its series of Salon Sessions on Thursday, December 20, featuring live music by the Christmas Decorations.

An “electro-acoustic ambient drone quartet,” the group features WJFF personalities Nick Forte and Kurt Knuth, with Brooklyn-based musicians Steve Silverstein and Peter Kerlin. Formed in 2002 as a duo, Christmas Decorations has released albums with Kranky (Chicago, IL), Community Library (Portland, OR) and Melted Mailbox (Brooklyn). This year, they contributed to a recent 12K Records compilation and recorded a new album live in Livingston Manor, which will be released next year. Their music is described as “ethnographic document meets computer technology.”The evening will be a celebration complete with hot cider and Christmas cookies.
