Tree decoration at Horton Presbyterian
HORTONVILLE, NY There will be a covered-dish supper and singing at a tree-decorating event at Hortonville Presbyterian Church. Advent chains will be made to take home for each family.

Christmas tree lighting with a solar twist
BARRYVILLE, NY The Greater Barryville Chamber of Commerce (GBCC) will hold its third annual Christmas tree lighting at 7:00 p.m. at the new River Road cul-de-sac located at the intersection of State Route 97 and Highway 55. The newly planted tree will be serenaded by carolers, accompanied by hot chocolate, sweet treats, a blazing bonfire and Santa and his buddies. The tree will be illuminated by solar lights that were donated by the GBCC. Those who would like to donate cookies for this event should bring them to the River Market on Saturday morning.
Story time with Mrs. Claus
JEFFERSONVILLE, NY Story time with Mrs. Claus will be offered at the Jeffersonville branch of the Western Sullivan Public Library from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.
In the Christmas spirit: fair trade gifts
JEFFERSONVILLE, NY The First Lutheran Church will hold a holiday cookie sale and Lutheran World Relief fair-trade holiday sale from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Fair-trade items are produced by people in less-developed countries around the world for fair wages under decent working conditions.

LAKE HUNTINGTON, NY The Lake Huntington Presbyterian Church will hold its annual Advent Sing with the choir from the Hortonville Presbyterian Church at 7:00 p.m. All are welcome.
Caroling Choralaires
HAWLEY, PA The Wayne Choralaires will present a Christmas concert, Sing We Now of Christmas, featuring music from traditional carols to Christmas on Broadway to selections from Handels Messiah, at 7:00 p.m. at the Queen of Peace Church. 570/253-2782.
Columns holds open house
MILFORD, PA The Pike County Historical Society will open the doors to the 1904 neo-classical mansion it calls home, the Society and Columns Museum, located at 608 Broad Street from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. The Milford Garden Club will provide the decorating of the McLaughlin home. The Deanery Choir, of Lords Valley, will perform on the main floor at 3:30 p.m., and the Tri-State Community Chorus will sing at 4:30 p.m. The Foundation Room will be open with punch, sweets and savories, and additional entertainment by Adista and Aurelia, local musicians, singing traditional songs of the season intermittently all afternoon. pikehistory.org or 570/296-8126.

Compassionate Friends decorate memorial trees
HONESDALE, PA The Compassionate Friends, a support group for bereaved parents, will help decorate Holiday Memory trees in Wayne Memorial Hospitals lobby and chapel. Participants are invited to bring an ornament in remembrance of a child.

Nutrcacker Festival
GRAHAMSVILLE, NY Tri-Valley Central School will present its Nutcracker Festival at 3:00 p.m. in the Tri-Valley Theatre for all third-grade students in Sullivan County whose school wishes to attend. The presentation is part of a collaborative interdisciplinary arts-based learning project between the Tri-Valley Theatre Arts Club, the Monticello High School Academy Classes, Liberty Band and Orchestra Classes and the Liberty, Monticello and Tri-Valley Chamber Music Programs.
