Typically, we don’t think of where our water comes from until something happens, such as a well pump failing, a broken pipe or a severe drought that mandates water use restrictions. Our uses for water are many. Where does it all come from, and what can happen to it?

Join Project Feeder Watch

REGION—Cornell Lab of Ornithology and Bird Studies, Canada, is operating a winter-long survey of bird populations in North America called Project Feeder Watch. The program starts in November and runs through early April.

Participants’ observations of birds all over the continent are used to help ornithologists track trends in winter bird populations with regard to abundance, distribution and migrations.

Early snow over Little Lake Erie

NARROWSBURG, NY — Despite a long, warm autumn, winter has come unusually early to our area with two snow events, the first on Saturday, November 10 and the second on Monday, November 19.
