Gift idea: Keep them warm for Christmas

with a gift to the environment

PIKE COUNTY, PA — Pike County residents can use their Christmas dollars to keep their friends and relatives warm and help the environment, both at the same time. The Pike County Conservation District has commissioned a special cotton coverlet, “Pike County…Naturally,” to represent the wealth of the County’s natural and historic resources. The 100 percent cotton coverlet pays tribute to the waterways, diverse wildlife and historic landmarks that are among the county’s treasures.

Proceeds from sale of the coverlet will benefit conservation education programs of the Pike County Conservation District. Youth education programs include the Pike/Wayne Envirothon, scholarships and sponsorships, classroom and outdoor presentations and the Pike County Federation of Sportsmen’s Club’s Youth Conservation School. Community education programs include public forums on a variety of timely topics, municipal workshops, and teacher trainings.

The coverlet is available for $53 including tax at the Pike County Conservation District office on Route 402 in Blooming Grove, the Pike County Treasurer’s office in the County Administration office in Milford or Carol Ann’s Linen Closet at 317 Broad Street in Milford.

To have a coverlet shipped to you, email mulmer@pikepa.org or call 570/226-8220.
