2007 Sullivan Showcase Award winners

SULLIVAN COUNTY, NY — Winners of the 2007 “Sullivan Showcase Awards” were announced to over 225 people on November 8 at the Eagle’s Nest Restaurant in Bloomingburg, NY. Sponsored by the Sullivan County Board of Realtors and Sullivan Renaissance, the awards recognize owners of homes and businesses that enhance the appearance of their community.

Among the winners were Barry Becker and Tony Coscia, who took home the prize for best residential renovation. They converted their barn into a guesthouse complete with WiFi, satellite reception and all the modern conveniences. Becker said the project involved jacking up the building, and completely re-building the foundation, which had been made of free-floating stone, as well as other extensive renovations.

Also among the winners were Laura and Nikolay Santana who won for the best commercial renovation with a plaza style for their Mews Building at 15 Main St. in Narrowsburg.
