Screening of new Disney film to help support Red Cross

CALLICOON, NEW YORK — “Enchanted Lives” is the theme for the Callicoon Theater’s special benefit screenings of Disney’s new fantasy romantic comedy family film, “Enchanted,” rated PG, on Saturday, November 24. Show times are 2:00 and 7:30 p.m. Admission for this first-run film is $8 for adults, $5 for children under 12.

A percentage of profit will be donated to the American Red Cross of Greater New York (ARC/GNY) – Orange/Sullivan to support its life-saving programs.

Red Cross representatives will be at the theater to answer questions and to offer literature about the organization’s programs, services, classes and volunteer opportunities. The benefit also is an opportunity for individuals to make personal contributions to ARC/GNY chapter. Red wristbands will be given to the first 100 people who purchase tickets for each show. There will also be first aid kits, for people and for pets, and tote bags for sale at the theater.

“Enchanted” stars Amy Adams as a princess who is banished by the wicked queen (Susan Sarandon) from her idyllic land to the streets of modern-day Manhattan, where she falls in love with a dreamy divorce lawyer (Patrick Dempsey).

The regular run of “Enchanted” at the Callicoon Theater starts on Wednesday, November 21, and screenings will continue for two weeks.
