Highlights opens its doors for the holidays

HONESDALE, PA — Highlights for Children and Boyds Mills Press will hold their 16th annual holiday open house from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 1, at the magazine’s editorial offices at 803 Church Street.

The open house, which is open to the public, features refreshments, storytelling, music, an art show, other entertainment and crafts. Children may choose a surprise from the giant grab bag under the holiday tree, and everyone may register for a free drawing to win special gifts.

Now in its 61st year, Highlights, edited for children from six to 12, goes to more than two million homes, schools, libraries, and professional offices each month. The company now also publishes Highlights High Five, a magazine edited for children from two to six.
