Holiday gift inspirations from the river valley

NARROWSBURG, NY—A bountiful array of handcrafted items and framed artwork awaits holiday buyers at the Valley Artists Holiday Sale, opening Saturday, November 17 at Signature Gifts at the Delaware Arts Center, 37 Main Street. The sale runs through Saturday, December 22, with store hours of Tuesday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Delaware Valley Arts Alliance (DVAA) members and those who wish to join them will get first choice among the hundreds of items for sale at the Members’ Preview Night on Friday, November 16 from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. Preview night offers free gift wrapping, too.

“Bee Movie” the product of a fevered, unimaginative mind

Jerry Seinfeld is insane. Not tragic-insane, like his buddy Michael Richards. Not amusing-insane, like my buddy Screamin’ Mad Nicolas Cage. Just regular old off-his-rocker, driven so completely mad by fame and power that he would engineer a massive vanity project like “Bee Movie.”

A treat for the eye and the ear at Salon Session

HIGHLAND LAKE, NY—NACL’s Salon Session for the month of November will present musician Judith Pearce in an evening of music, poetry and drawings by famous German artists of the modern age. The show starts at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, November 16 in the NACL lobby salon.
