Presby Players undertake an American classic

PORT JERVIS, NY—The Presby Players will perform Rodgers & Hammerstein’s “Oklahoma!” in a run that starts on Thursday, October 18 at 7:30 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church at 60 Sussex Street.

The Presby production of “Oklahoma!,” a play that launched a new era in American musical theater and received many accolades including a special Pulitzer Prize (1944) and a special Tony Award (1993), has a cast of 34 multi-talented performers from the tri-state area. Among them are Bill Thomas, Tonya Jacobs, Jeff Brewster, Morgane Fouse, Eric Malave, Sandy Stalter, Steve Davis and Shannon Sumner. The show is directed by Bill Thomas and choreographed by Melissa Thomas. Musical direction is by Sandy Stalter.

Wall sculptures and large format photographs premiere at the Catskill Artists Gallery

LIBERTY, NY—The Catskill Artists Gallery at 38 South Main Street will feature an exhibition of wall and standing sculptures by Robert Friedman including “Cloud People,” and large-format narrative photographs by Hank Schneider. The opening day will be Saturday, October 13 with a reception from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. The show will run through Sunday, November 25.
