Halloween comes early on Holiday Mountain

MONTICELLO, NY — Holiday Mountain Ski & Fun Park, in conjunction with Catskill Haunts and the Sullivan County Visitor’s Association, is hosting a special Halloween-themed event through October 31. Horror Hotel, constructed by professional fright vendor Catskill Haunts, opened September 21 complete with skeletons, body parts, spirits and a creepy laboratory. Visitors can also take a fearful adventure into The Swamp, grope their way through the Total Blackout Maze or wind up in the Insane Asylum. The only way out of this creepy mess is to take a ride on the Haunted Hayride.

The festivities aren’t recommended for those under seven years old. Those under 10 must be accompanied by an adult. Pregnant women should not attend.

The Horror Hotel and accompanying attractions will be available from 6:00 to 11:30 p.m. every Friday and Saturday through September 29. Beginning October 5, the event will be open from 6:00 to 11:30 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday. There is a $15 admission charge, which covers access to all the Halloween attractions.

The usual Holiday Mountain Ski & Fun Park menu of attractions will also be available, including a 10,000-square-foot arcade and bumper-car facility, Go-Carts, Bumper Boats, an 18-hole mini golf course, a rock climbing wall, batting cages, X-treme Balloon Battle, and a potato sack slide.
