Talk on snakes, turtles and frogs at PP&L Learning Center

HAWLEY, PA — Kathy Michell, biologist and licensed New York and New Jersey State Wildlife Rehabilitator, will give a program on snakes, turtles and frogs at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 29, at the PP&L Learning Learning Center just off Route 6.

Michell, who has had a life-long passion for reptiles and amphibians, will feature live snakes and turtles as well as a slide presentation. She will talk about what these animals eat, where they live and go and why their existence is so valuable to us. She will also demonstrate the use of telemetry (radio transmitters) to study their movements.

There be a door prize at the free event, a full scholarship at a day camp at the Pocono Environmental Education Center (PEEC).
