Harvest fundraiser to feature Old Friends

HONESDALE, PA — Wayne County’s Harvest Festival 2007 will be held from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m. on Friday, September 21 at the Bryn Mawr Conference Center. The musical group Old Friends, consisting of Jim Hull, Tim Emmons and Tom Dimock, will appear at the festival, a fundraiser for the Wayne County Historical Society’s new addition. Old Friends specializes in Irish tunes, although it is equally at home playing country, pop and rock ‘n’ roll. Emcee for the evening will be Ryan Haller, who will preside over the silent auction, featuring a wide variety of items, from a golf basket to antiques to theater tickets. Tickets cost $50 for adults, which covers harvest buffet, wine, beer, soda and non-stop entertainment provided by Old Friends and the Lakeville Methodist Merry Makers. Children under five are admitted free.

For more information call 570/253-3240.
