Ninth Annual Sullivan County ATV Charity Poker Run set to ramble

By RICHARD A. ROSS

ELDRED, NY - On September 22, they’ll be rolling and for a great cause. The Ninth Annual Sullivan County ATV Charity Poker Run will benefit 10-year old Elizabeth Victoria Grese of Liberty and eight-year old Candace Chantel Battiste of Smallwood. Both children have suffered from serious afflictions that impact their lives and the lives of their families. (See “Dealing a winning hand to ailing kids,” this week's feature).

This year’s run returns to the Eldred Preserve, where it was last staged in 2005. Riders will leave on a first-come basis for the ride around the area. Organizers describe this year’s trails as excellent.

For a full report on the event and a photo album, visit riverreportersports.com on September 23 or look in the September 27 edition of The River Reporter.
