The movie is the story of Édith Piaf, who was plucked from the streets of Paris to become the most beloved French singer of her time, and has been praised for the extraordinary performance of Marion Cotillard as Piaf.

Stephen Holden of The New York Times calls the performance “the most astonishing immersion of one performer into the body and soul of another I’ve ever encountered in a film.”

“La Vie En Rose,” rated PG-13, will be screened on Friday, September 14 at 7:30 p.m.; Saturday, September 15 at 3:30 and 7:30 p.m.; and on Sunday and Monday, September 16 and 17 at 7:30 p.m. Admission costs $7.
