New member joins a veteran at Arterys September exhibit
MILFORD, PA The Artery Gallerys September exhibition features the watercolor paintings of Joan Ross and the pen and ink drawings of Jim Palmer. The exhibit opens on Thursday, September 6 and closes on Monday, October 8. There will be a reception on Saturday, September 8 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. Gallery artists will be present and the public is invited to attend.
Joan Ross, a veteran member of the gallery and a well-known watercolorist from Vernon, NJ, will be showing recent works. Joan has won many awards for her watercolor paintings, the most recent being the John Loughlin A.W.S. Award presented at the Hudson Valley Art Association 76th Annual Exhibition. She is listed in Whos Who in American Art and is past president of the New Jersey Watercolor Society.
Jim Palmer is a new member of the gallery. He is primarily a self-taught artist who has exhibited his work in numerous venues throughout New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Working with ballpoint and rapidograph pens, he has been developing his unique style of expression for the past 37 years. His work reflects his deep interest in matters of the spirit and his love of the natural world. For the past eight years, he has also been working as a tattooist, and is opening a tattoo and art studio in Milford, to be called Moon Gravel Arts.
The Artery Gallery is located in the Forest Hall Building at the stop light in Milford. Gallery hours are Thursday through Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Monday from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
