One artist, many expressions
NARROWSBURG, NYThe drawing at left, by Liza Phillips, is part of the new show opening on Saturday, August 25 at The River Gallery. Phillips boasts an unusual breadth of artistic talent, and the exhibit, Open Field, will feature not only drawings and oil paintings, but rugs, such as the runner shown at right, designed by Phillips and hand-made for her in Nepal. Each rug comes with a Rugmark Foundation certificate with a unique ID number, and guarantees that the carpets are child-labor free.
