Broadway melodies at Mountain Laurel

BUSHKILL, PA — “Neil Berg’s 100 Years of Broadway,” a revue of beloved show tunes performed by a cast of acclaimed Broadway veterans, will be performed at Mountain Laurel Center for the Performing Arts (MLCPA) on Saturday, August 25. There will be two performances at the Lakehouse Theater, at 2:00 and 8:00 p.m.

The cabaret-style event, hosted by Neil Berg, who also plays piano with the show’s all-star band, spotlights the songs of musical theater’s greatest composers, including Cole Porter, Jerome Kern, Rodgers and Hammerstein, Kander and Ebb, Andrew Lloyd Webber and many more. The music is performed by a cast of five powerhouse singers direct from leading roles on Broadway and Off-Broadway: Erick Buckley (“Les Miserables,” “Phantom of the Opera”); Carter Calvert (“It Ain’t Nothin’ but the Blues,” “Forbidden Broadway”); Rita Harvey (“Phantom of the Opera,” “Fiddler on the Roof”); Ray McLeod (“Jekyll & Hyde,” “Wonderful Town”); and Danny Zolli (“Jesus Christ Superstar,” “Chess”).
