Lynyrd Skynyrd to perform at Bethel Woods

BETHEL, NY — Lynyrd Skynyrd will play at the Bethel Woods Center for the Arts on Sunday, August 26. Doors open at 6:00 p.m.

The band, considered one of the most commercially successful and critically acclaimed Southern Rock groups of the 1970s, will be ushered into the Georgia Music Hall of Fame this September. Though some of the personnel have changed, it is still going strong. “I think we capture the spirit of the old guys who aren’t with us anymore,” said guitar legend Gary Rossington. “They’re up on stage with us in heart and soul—I think the people feel that. We’ve tried through the years to keep original all the music, the spirit, the sense of the story.”
