Jeff-Fest set for September

JEFFERSONVILLE, NY — Jeff-Fest, the annual Autumn Festival and Community Appreciation Day, has been scheduled for Saturday, September 22, with a theme “Times Change… but Good Times Don’t.” Sponsorship, donations and other help in setting up the event are welcome.

The fair is designed to take visitors back to a simpler time. Sack races, three-legged races, scavenger hunts, hayrides and a hay bale maze will be featured. A Jeff Volunteer Ambulance Corps Wheel-Chair Challenge is planned. Competitive racing participants must register and sign releases before competing. Others are setting up game, fund raising and craft booths. There will be a Classic/Custom Car Show/Rally providing the weather cooperates. Awards will be presented to competitive events winners.

The Masons are setting up a booth in which you can have your child photographed, fingerprinted and their DNA recorded for identification purposes. Hudson Health Plan will be here with new guidelines for eligibility and to assist all people with their health insurance options. The CRMC’s Health Mobile will be present, and will offer blood-typing services.
