Singles get to swing at SCCC

LOCH SHELDRAKE, NY —Sullivan County Community College (SCCC) will host a free, singles-only event featuring East Coast Swing dance lessons with local ballroom dance instructors, Norton and Agi Hyman, on Thursday, August 16. In addition, discount tickets ($15 each) are available in advance for those singles interested in attending the evening’s scheduled performance by the Tapaholics.

Dance lessons will be held in the Kaplan Student Center from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., and the Tapaholics will present musical numbers ranging from jazz to disco, rock to pop and classical to gospel in the Seelig Theatre at 8:00 p.m.

Discount tickets for the Tapaholics show must be purchased before August 15 through the college box office in Room H122, or by calling 845/434-5750, ext. 4303.

Light refreshments will be served during the dance lessons. Beginner dancers are welcome.
