Interested contestants should visit www.grahamsvillefair.com, download the application form and send it to the address on the form. The contest is sponsored by Sprague & Killeen Insurance of Ellenville.
Other highlights of the fair include fireworks displays on Friday and Saturday evenings at 9:30 p.m., the draft horse pull on Saturday at 12:00 noon, a classic car show on Sunday at 12:00 noon and the various open and 4-H livestock shows.
One of the featured live entertainers will be Joey DeGraw, a local performer from Fallsburg, whose brother Gavin DeGraw has already established himself in the music industry. Joeys concert, sponsored in part by Sullivan County Community College and WSUL, will be held at 8:30 p.m. on Friday, August 17, in the main ring of the Grahamsville Fairgrounds, with a second performance at 10:00 p.m. after the fireworks. Spectators are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets, but no coolers or alcohol are permitted.
