Red Eft Gallery a new bloom in Wurtsboro’s Renaissance

WURTSBORO, NY — Following months of renovation, the Red Eft Gallery, the newest addition to Wurtsboro’s transforming Main Street, will open its grand gallery and shop doors to the public on Saturday, August 11 at 2:00 p.m. “Currently, the custom-designed façade is being put in place and last minute touches are taking place within the large main gallery space that is illuminated with unique sky wells,” said Linda Tintle, who co-founded the gallery with her husband and fellow veterinarian, Dean Tintle.

Art instruction classes at the gallery have been underway and well-attended since March.

Sixteen artists, representing a colorful spectrum of media, will be the focus of this first exhibit, curated by botanical watercolor artist Roberta Rosenthal. The exhibit will run through Tuesday, September 11. The opening-day event will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Regular gallery hours will be 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Friday through Monday, and by appointment.

“We are fortunate to have an abundance of talent in the Hudson Valley area. Our first exhibit has multiple appeals for art connoisseurs, as it will feature works in oil, pastel, silver point, watercolor, mixed media, sculpture, photography and ceramics,” said Linda.

Artists featured will be Linda Barboni, J.E. Capriano, Kevin Cook, Linda Bayer Domanoski, Cynthia Hall, Jennifer Finch, Cecily Fortescue, Michael Gold, Elissa Gore, Cynthia Harris-Pagano, Barbara Holmes, L.K. Levine, Marie Liu, Linda Holmes Richichi, Roberta Rosenthal and Brian Shapiro.
