Dealing with the family skeleton
Negatives continues the season at the Rivoli
SOUTH FALLSBURG, NY The Sullivan County Dramatic Workshop 2007 Season will continue at the Rivoli Theatre with the premiere of Negatives, a new play by John Klemeyer debuting on Friday, August 10. Negatives is an original drama sprinkled with a liberal helping of humor. It replaces the previously advertised A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, which has unavoidably been canceled.
When your last surviving parent dies, things change forever. Sheila (Carol Scanell MacAdam of Mongaup Valley), Edward (John Klemeyer of Shohola, PA) and Barbara (Sally Minnick of Ellenville) just lost their father, and the impact that it has on them is much more than they bargained for. It seems that their father kept a secret for many years, and now they have to decide what to do about it. What do you do when the secret is bigger than you ever thought a family secret could be? Playwrights Horizons called Negatives a plot driven... well spun yarn.
Performances of Negatives will be Friday, August 10 and 17 and Saturday, August 11 and 18 at 8:00 p.m., and on Sunday, August 12 and 19 at 2:00 p.m. No advance reservations are necessary. Tickets cost $15 for adults, $12 for senior citizens and students 16 and under. The opening night special, good for Friday, August 10 only is pay what you can.
The Nartoff-Wells Auditorium of the Rivoli Theatre is fully air conditioned, handicapped accessible and has an adjacent, lighted parking lot.
