Pike library summer winds up with mayhem and magic
MILFORD, PA The 2007 Get a Clue summer reading programs will wrap up at Pike County Public Library (PCPL) on Thursday, August 9. The Murder, Mayhem, and Mystery end-of-summer party, sponsored by the Friends of the Childrens Room, will take place at 6:30 p.m. at the Milford Branch of PCPL. The fun-filled evening will include a talent show and games and prizes for all ages. Bring a lawn seat or blanket. Come dressed as your favorite detective character. Please bring a snack food or juice to share. In case of rain, the event will be held at the Ann Street School/Milford United Methodist Church on East Ann Street.
In another August event, J.K. Rowlings final book of the Harry Potter series, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, which has just been released, the Friends of the Childrens Room of Pike County Public Library will hold a Harry Potter book discussion on Tuesday, August 14 from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. at the Milford Branch of PCPL. The book discussion is open to any Muggle who has read the Harry Potter series and would like to talk about the books with other Potter fans.
The Friends of the Childrens Room is a not-for-profit organization of teens working with Pike County Public Library to enhance the childrens programs and resources at the library.
