New talent debuts at Global Home

JEFFERSONVILLE, NY — Global Home will present Brock Lady in his debut art show, “Unsung Moments,” with an opening reception at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 11. The show will continue through Monday, August 27.

Lady has been drawing and painting from an early age, but put these talents aside until recently to pursue his musical aspirations. In mid 2006, Lady resumed his work in ink and has since expanded to acrylic portraits. His style is evocative of moody album covers, executed with sharp silhouetted faces on textured backgrounds that showcase his technical skill and eye for composition. The many influences on his work include the illustrations of comic book art as well as Norman Rockwell, Andy Warhol, Paul Cezanne, Jim Morrison and e.e. cummings. He offers custom portraits available exclusively at Global Home. He maintains his musical interests, and is currently recording his debut CD.
