Second chance to see Anat Fort

HAWLEY, PA — A schedule change will allow music lovers to catch up-and-coming ECM recording artist Anat Fort live on The Settlers Inn deck on Wednesday, August 15 as part of the Inn’s “Food and Fun and All That Jazz” series. The summer series features dining and live music every Wednesday evening, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., with no cover charge.

Fort first appeared on July 25 and was originally scheduled to repeat on August 1, but the second performance has been moved.

Fort ( anatfort.com ) is an alternative jazz pianist who was called “a prepossessing young pianist with an auspicious new debut” by Nate Chinen of The New York Times. Her musical influences include Bill Evans, Keith Jarrett, Paul Bley, Elvis Costello, John Coltrane and Egberto Gismonti.

The Indigo Moon Brass Band featuring Gary Rixner is scheduled to perform at the inn on August 22.
