New cookbook to be launched with brunch

MONTICELLO, NY — Temple Sholom will introduce its new cookbook, “Let’s Eat! Classic & Contemporary Recipes,” at a brunch on Sunday, August 12 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. From quiches to kugels, from salads to freshly-baked desserts, the temple’s local cooks will prepare some of their most prized recipes from the cookbook for all to enjoy.

Judith Maidenbaum, owner of the Fat Lady Café in White Lake, NY, will be doing a cooking demonstration at the brunch. She will prepare some light summer fare and share ideas for creative new dishes.

“Let’s Eat! Classic & Contemporary Recipes” is a goldmine of over 300 of our community’s best recipes, many of them revealed here for the first time. These are the dishes that local cooks have built their reputations on. The recipes have been carefully edited to provide easy–to-follow directions and are organized by category.

The cookbook costs $18 each or three for $50, and will be available at the brunch. The brunch costs $9, $6 with the purchase of a cookbook.
