Delaware Valley Missy Softball League All-Star Game

NARROWSBURG, NY - In a fitting end to a great season, the top players from each of the five teams in the Delaware Valley Missy Softball League arrived at the Flats to take part in the leagues annual all-star game on July 19.
Coaches divided the players into an A and B team, with the former comprised of this years champion Yellowjackets, sponsored by Roches Garage, and the third-place Mustangs, sponsored by Neer & Sons RV Sales.
The B team was made up of the second-place Bobcats, sponsored by Ned Lang, the fourth-place Eagles, sponsored by Tenbus Construction, and the fifth-place Diamonds, sponsored by Diehls Trucking. Each girl wore her home team jersey, making for a colorful array on the field.

John Spear Memorial modified mens softball tournament set to commence

MONTICELLO, NY - For the legions of kids who once donned the Monticello High School baseball uniform and called John Spear their coach during his 21-year tenure at the helm; the countless kids who sat in his social studies classroom during his 22 year teaching career that led to his becoming department chairman; and his beloved family, including his wife, Elaine, children Tommy, David and Gena and grandson, Adyn, the tragic and untimely death of the man who was a mentor, a great coach, a teacher, a husband, a father and a special friend was a shock beyond the pale.

MONGAUP VALLEY, NY - Looking to build on its recent success, B Division Mr. Willys, boasting a 10-3 record, came into its crossover game with 11-3 Klein and Sons Logging of the A Division hoping to show that it could hang tough with one of the leagues hottest teams.
