Have a good Olde Time at the fair

GRAHAMSVILLE, NY — Grahamsville’s Olde Time Fair brings its annual blast from the past to the county from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 28 at the Town of Neversink’s Bicentennial Square. The fair, which features an ice-cream social, old-fashioned games, a Chestnut Creek ball race, a quilt show and a pie auction, is redolent of the simple delights of days long gone.

The Bicentennial Square, alongside Chestnut Creek, provides a charming setting for the exhibits and activities. There will be a fashion show featuring period costumes, antique dolls and dollhouses, tractors, and farm machinery. Children will enjoy a variety of activities, including arts and crafts, a treasure hunt, relay races, hoop rolling and many other old-fashioned games. Strong-armed ladies are invited to participate in the “Skillet Throwing Contest.” Enter the Chestnut Creek Ball Race and win money prizes. The pie auction will be called by the “world-renowned” pie auctioneer, Barry Lewis. There will also be a White Elephant and book sale, baked goods sale and other booths.

The Olde Time Fair benefits the Time and the Valleys Museum and will be held rain or shine. Parking and entrance are free. Food and refreshments are available for purchase.
