Library goes hog wild for Hogwarts

NARROWSBURG, NY — To celebrate the upcoming release of “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows” on Saturday, July 21, the Tusten-Cochecton branch of the Western Sullivan Public Library will show each of the four Harry Potter movies on four evenings during the week leading up to that release. The showings will be on Monday, July 16, Tuesday, July 17, Wednesday, July 18 and Friday, July 20. Participants will be sorted into one of the Hogwarts houses, Hogwarts crafts will be conjured up and houses will compete on knowledge of Harry Potter trivia. There will also be visits from Hogwarts characters. At the grand finale of the series, at 12:01 a.m. on the release date of July 21, participants will read aloud the first chapter of the book together.

Those who are at least 10 years old or going into fourth grade are welcome to join the celebration, but must register at the library in advance because space is limited.
