Kindred Spirits concert to tour centuries of music

MILFORD, PA — Flutist Nestor Torres will explore the creation and development of musical styles and the paths taken by a variety of composers at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 14 at the First Presbyterian Church. In this fourth concert of Kindred Spirits’ 2007 season, sponsored by Barth D’Ascoli and John Fairclough Jr., Torres will travel across three continents and 300 years and point the way to the future of the American musical landscape.

In the first half of the program, the European roots of Baroque, Classical and Romantic music will be explored. The second half of the concert will travel to Latin America, with selections by Astor Piazzola, the Master of Tango, and a selection of popular music.

Tickets cost $20 for adults, $10 for children under 12 years of age. They are available from Gallery at Forest Hall, at the corner of Broad and Harford Streets.
