Garden club to offer sneak peak at garden treasures

MILFORD, PA — The Milford Garden Club will hold its 15th annual “Secret Garden Tour,” which will mark the 70th Anniversary of the club, on Saturday, July 14. Based on the popular novel, “The Secret Garden”, this self-guided tour offers a glimpse of some of Milford’s loveliest gardens. As they are at private residences, the public is invited for one day only to share the accomplishments of dedicated local gardeners.

The tour begins at 10:00 a.m. and ends at 4:00 p.m., rain or shine.

Tickets can be purchased in advance for $12 at Hare Hollow, at 322 Broad Street, or on the day of the tour for $15 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Remembrance Place, the corner of West Ann and Elderberry Alley and at The Community House, at the corner of Broad and Harford. Children under 12 are admitted free.

The tulips will be gone by the day of the tour, but the variety of interesting planters adorning the grounds of this lovely Victorian home will still add a special touch to this stop-off on Milford Garden Club’s Secret Garden Tour, to be held in Milford this Saturday, July 14.
