A fabulous day for a fair

River Road teems with life at Barryville fair

BARRYVILLE, NY — Actor Tannis Kowalchuk of North American Cultural Laboratory (NACL) theatre in Highland Lake came prepared to shop—stilts and all—at the gloriously sunny River Road Fair conducted along the Delaware River on July 7. In addition to the Farmers Market conducted every Saturday through October 6, the event included booths featuring art, antiques, festival foods and more. Groups like the Upper Delaware Preservation Coalition provided information to those attending the fair. The Highland Renaissance group shared copies of its new Historic Walking/Driving Tour of Barryville as it conducted a silent auction of garden items.
