Art in Northeast PA

NORTHEASTERN PENNSYLVANIA — The annual Artists of Hemlock Farms exhibit and sale at Chant Realtors on Route 739 will run from July 1 to Labor Day, seven days a week from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. There will be an opening reception on Friday, July 6 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., featuring music with harpist Regina Hobbs, catered refreshments, an opportunity to meet the artists and tour a gallery full of original paintings, drawings and photos by award-winning artist members of the Hemlock Farms Community. This event is hosted by the Hemlock Farms Cultural Arts Department, George and Renee Schmitt and associates of Davis R. Chant Realtors, Lords Valley office.

Also on July 6, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Peter Daniels of the Artisan’s Gallery and custom picture framing, on Main North Avenue, will host an evening for the show and sale of local art work featuring artists from the Northeast Pennsylvania area. A varied collection of original art, the show includes plein air paintings and photography of local scenery. A special attraction is “40” art, small works on paper and canvas all priced at $40.

Artisans Gallery is open from 12:00 noon to 5:00 p.m., Tuesday through Sunday.
