Cardinal Egan visits Yulan

YULAN, NY - Edward Cardinal Egan, Archbishop of New York, an honorary member of the Knights of Columbus, greeted his fellow knights outside the Church of St. Anthony of Padua on the occasion of its 100th anniversary celebration on Sunday, June 3. The cardinal, who was the celebrant of the Mass in honor of the anniversary, was feted at a luncheon at the Carriage House restaurant in Barryville.

St. Anthony’s Parish is serviced by the Fathers of the Order of Friars Minor, called the Franciscans, who serve as pastors in several parishes in the Upper Delaware River valley. The Franciscans took over the parishes, which surrounded the order’s former minor seminary in Callicoon, which is now the site of the Delaware Valley Job Corps.
