A unique listening experience comes to Hamish & Henry

LIVINGSTON MANOR, NY — The Third Coast International Audio Festival (TCIAF), in collaboration with WJFF Radio Catskill, will make its first visit to the Catskills on Thursday, June 14, bringing a diverse selection of documentary audio work to Hamish & Henry Booksellers at 34B Main Street.

Hosted by Julie Shapiro, managing director for The Third Coast International Audio Festival, this special Listening Room event will feature a variety of audio stories from around the world, as well as submissions from the TCIAF’s audio experiment “99 Ways to Tell a Radio Story.” The event will also showcase stories produced by some of WJFF’s own producers.

A project of Chicago Public Radio, the TCIAF is an annual and on-going celebration of the best documentary audio work being made worldwide for radio and the Internet. The TCIAF Listening Room series regularly presents audio work in a public setting, offering radio fans the opportunity to listen together and share opinions about what they hear.

Fans of This American Life or Soundprint, heard on WJFF’s airwaves, are sure to enjoy this opportunity to hear some adventurous audio and expand your acoustic horizons.
