Gardening items sought for Renaissance silent auction

BARRYVILLE, NY — Highland Renaissance, a non-profit community organization, is seeking donations for silent auction items for its first annual fundraiser, to be held on Saturday, July 7 at Gazebo Park. The organization seeks to raise money for projects including the creation of community gardens to beautify the town, and the development of a self-guided history walk.

The theme of the auction is “All Things Garden,” so items should be related to flowers and gardening. Examples would be seeds, plants and gardening tools, birdhouses, books and original art work, bird baths and feeders and consultations from local master gardeners. Donations already received include a set of luncheon plates decorated with flowers and framed artwork.
