Community Unity holds Family Fun Day at Holiday Mountain

BRIDGEVILLE, NY — Community Unity, a coalition of organizations working to break the cycle of domestic abuse in Sullivan County, will hold a SummerFest Family Fun Day on June 10 from 12:00 noon to 5:00 p.m. at the Holiday Mountain Fun Park in Bridgeville. Children’s activities will include a bounce-around inflatable, rock wall, potato sack slide, mini golf, bumper cars, bumper boats, go karts, an alpaca petting zoo and arts and crafts. An arcade and batting cages are also available.

There will be a barbeque featuring hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken, salad and Coke products. Snow cones, popcorn and cotton candy are free throughout the day. Bands will provide musical entertainment and stilt walkers and costumed players will entertain the crowd.

This celebration of Sullivan County will showcase many local activities. There will be fly fishing and fly tying demonstrations, water safety demonstrations by Lander’s River Trips, a presentation by the Children’s Theatre Workshop, and a member of the Dairy Court. What Every Body Needs Wellness Spa will provide information about holistic health. The Catskill Regional Medical Center Healthmobile will provide health information and screenings. Many other organizations will be on hand including Cornell Cooperative Extension, the Delaware Valley Arts Alliance, Peaceful Breeze Alpaca Farm and the Forestburgh Playhouse.

The barbeque and all activities are included in the price of $15 for persons over 44 inches and $10 for under 44 inches, with children under three admitted for free. Tickets are available at the door and are being pre-sold at the Miss Monticello Diner and the Cutting Edge Hair Salon in Monticello, Danny’s in Wurtsboro, La Shed Du Fred in Callicoon, The Delaware Valley Arts Alliance in Narrowsburg and Peez Leweez in Livingston Manor.
